Beautiful winter morning

Maybe more than a little bit of artistic license, but hey it's me so that's ok. Just sailing into the sunset of life. I think I was eight years old.

Photo was taken shortly before her death in 1937. Not sure about the medal but I believe she may have just been recognized as one of the surviving hand cart pioneers.
